YA MEAN I GOTTA HAVE A LICENSE TO DRIVE MY BOAT??!!!??? Well, not exactly. To operate a power vessel on ALL NJ State waters, one must be able to produce for inspection to Law Enforcement officials a certificate verifying that the holder has attended an approved boater's safety course and passed the approved examination. If the operation of said vessel (who said) is upon NON TIDAL WATERS (lakes) one must have a boating endorsment on one's driver's license as well. To get that endorsement the certificate must be presented to the CMV, where at this time (ha ha) the endorsement will be added free of charge. SIGN ME UP CAPPY!!!!! We teach the course and administer the test on Your boat or in Your house, on the beach or on Your dock. We teach to the test and QUICKLY cover course material. We also deviate from DMV-driver's ed lowest common denominator instruction. Are You an experienced boater? Let's make the course productive. We are flexible. CAPPY, Why should I go to You rather than the Auxiliary or the Power squadrons? Do You want to take the class with Nautical Nerds or with a working Captain? Seriously the volunteers in the Auxiliary and the squadrons serve a great purpose. They volunteer their time and boats to the Coast Guard and Homeland security. They help keep Us safe. BUT. They are recreational boaters. As You can see from this website, Captain Brazill's Marine works on the water year round. We know the fundamentals of safe boat operation and would love to pass that on to You in conjuction with the certificate.
